Martin's notes: I took the word from a Lester Bangs article. I don’t remember where or when I wrote this. Listening back now the whole quiet/loud thing was a maybe a bit of a novelty. I like the chords and the way they
interact with Tim’s bass but I wish I’d spent a bit more time on it instead of writing to formula. I thought of myself as being pretty numb at the time. I couldn’t get excited about anything except having a drink or taking drugs. I was trying to write here about that but wasn’t really good enough yet. We recorded this at Matrix Studios in central London, again with Alan Moulder. Me and Tim had bad colds all week and
were living on cough medicine and cigarettes.
Lyrics: Another day. You ask me how it is I feel, what can I say? What can I say? You don't know how it feels to be lonely you don't know how it feels to be dead? You can understand that pain inside drives, makes you feel alive. Everybird can you make me feel the same? And now I've found another day, another god, what can I say?
