Martin's notes: I had the intro drawn out on a bit of paper, one section simply said ‘party’; we had a few drinks and shouted a bit and dragged Owen Morris and Ash in from next door to shout along with us. Owen said that C’mon Kids was ‘devils music’ and threw holy water over the front door of the studio. I used to drink in this pub in Preston with my mate Mark. We would spend the whole day tripping in there and talking about
music. He would become incensed at the current dadrock bands and stand on the table screaming ‘Come on kids!’ at the top of his voice to the amusement of the old couple sipping their halves; the only other
people in the pub.
Lyrics: C’mon kids, don’t do yourself down, throw out your arms for a new sound. Pretty face, it don’t mean a thing if you look so same as your crowd. Work all day it don’t mean a thing with the sun always outside your window. Fuck the ones who tell you that life Is merely a time before dying. Look for the box and find what’s inside, you’ll never find it till you have done. And fuck the ones who tell you that life is merely a time before dying. I know it’s hard to do but have we ever let you down? C’mon kids!
