The Boo Radleys - Find The Way Out

Lyrics/Notes

 Best Lose The Fear

Martin's notes: We had just about finished Giant Steps but I felt we were a couple of songs short. I went into Protocol with Giles on a day off and wrote this and The White Noise Revisited. I'd just discovered the capo and used it for the first time on these songs. My best friend was in the process of a break up with his girl. I loved them both and it was hard to watch happening. One long, drunken night, he told me about a dream he had had about it; it was an incredibly moving dream and I, being a cold heartless man, wrote a song about it. One of my favourite songs, I love the Joe 90 guitar and the fact that you can hear my screaming "alright!" into the desk so loud that it came over Sice's vocal mic and back onto the track. I was a happy boy.
Lyrics: The pure lights beckon and the music calls, but you're trapped inside those four walls. It's not your fault that she has changed. It's not her fault you're still the same. You both work hard and you feel the pace, but you're the one who knows it's not a race to be won. And I know you'd like to disappear, you'd like to lose the fear, you dream the love you had is near. You feel so down cos you haven't been out. Your ears are still sore from the latest bout. Something's gonna have to change. Arrangements must be re-arranged. And I know you'd like to disappear, you'd like to lose the fear. You dream the love you had is near. You know you must go, but you're frightened to leave. You'd love to stay but you're too scared to breathe.
